Last night our little boy expressed great concern for the whereabouts of the moon. We've been talking about the moon lately and pointing it out when it's been visible. Before going to bed last night he said "Where is the moon?" I'll admit that the beginning of the sentence could only be deciphered by a parent but it was a clear question. Then he clearly said "Up in the sky?". He was curious enough that we thought we should take him outside and see if we could find it. We searched in the early evening sky for an elusive moon but it was not to be found. "Where did it go?", he said, "Oh no!", "Moon, in the sky?". We assured him that it would be back. We took him back to his room and got him ready for bed. Maybe tonight the moon will visit him again.
It's just the beginning for all the questions that are going to be thrown your way! Where, why, what, why, why, why...
ReplyDeleteThis post is such a great glimpse into his thoughts. Alec is SO amazing!
We love you!

He's going to be an astronaut. I just know he is.
ReplyDeleteThe moon viewing ritual was definitely observed at my house this past weekend; Alec gazed at the moon with such intensity! What a focused little boy. What a fun thing to share with him.
